In a region the atmospheric concentrations are 0.5 ppm SO\(_2\) and 0.2 ppm NO\(_2\) (by volume) at 25 °C and 1 atm. In the atmosphere, 0.5 % of the SO\(_2\) is converted to H\(_2\)SO\(_4\) and 0.3 % of the NO\(_2\) is converted to HNO\(_3\). Each mole of H\(_2\)SO\(_4\) yields two moles of H\(^+\) and each mole of HNO\(_3\) yields one mole of H\(^+\). Assuming the polluted air occupies a volume of 1 km\(^3\) (\(10^{12}\) m\(^3\)) and that all the H\(^+\) produced ends up in 1 L of rainwater collected from that volume, calculate the pH of the rainwater.
