A mixture contains 5.00 g of aluminium metal, 2.00 g of chlorine gas and 0.50 g of oxygen gas. The possible reactions are \(2\,\mathrm{Al} + 3\,\mathrm{Cl_2} \rightarrow 2\,\mathrm{AlCl_3}\) and \(4\,\mathrm{Al} + 3\,\mathrm{O_2} \rightarrow 2\,\mathrm{Al_2O_3}\). Both reactions proceed to completion with the reagents present. After the reactions, the aluminium chloride is isolated and found to give an 85 % isolated yield. Calculate the mass of \(\mathrm{AlCl_3}\) actually obtained (to three significant figures).
